Specialty Day Camps

Experience something different at CaHiTo with our Specialty Day Camp Programs. Themes include Jr. Ranger, Archery, Wizardry of Chemistry, Art, and more.

Click the theme you're interested below for more information about these exciting camps.

Program

A typical day begins with all Campers meeting at their assigned Camp Sites.  At 9:00 am all groups will head to the Stage Area for Songs, Skits & Games.

All Campers will be in small groups of children of the same age, with whom they will spend the entire session. Camp CaHiTo is a “group-centered” camp – meaning that our campers have the same counselor and peer group for the duration the camp session. Group-centered camping gives children the best opportunity to experience the powerful feeling of belonging, to make and keep new friends, and to connect with their counselors.

Our Specialty Programs includes a minimum of 1.5 - 2 hours a day of Specialty specific programming. They will also participate in daily traditional camp activities, all of which are age-appropriate games, hikes, and more determined by their counselors to fit the theme of the week and what the group likes to do. Activities include Archery, Hiking, Low Ropes, Swimming, Art and Crafts, Fort Building, Organized Games and more.

We invite you and your child to come and check us out at one of our Upcoming Meet & Greets.

How can you build the best paper airplane that will go the distance? Can we create an ejection design idea for a plane that would keep the people inside safe ? How do animals use the wind to fly? Can we re-create the buzzing sound of a bee? We sure can! Each day campers will have a project that will require a design phase, trial run and launch.

Slime Camp *NEW* @ Camp CaHiTo
Dec 16 @ 9:00 am – Dec 20 @ 3:00 pm

For Campers 6-10 years old.

Join the scientists at CaHiTo Laboratories as a slime product tester! This wonderful week of camp will explore the amazing properties of slime. Campers will investigate polymers, viscosity, Newtonian fluids, properties of fluoresce, magnetism and insulation. See Slime Laboratories’ job posting below…

Help Wanted! CaHiTo Laboratories is looking to hire young scientists to test new slime products. We need young, curious children to test crazy, sticky, crunchy, foamy, sparkly, slimly, glowing, bumpy, weird and otherwise unidentifiable slimes. Qualifications: You must be willing to make lots of new kinds of slime and subject those slimes to quality testing at our lab. No experience necessary to apply.

Although it is a Speciality Camp campers also will get to do all of the other awesome activities CaHiTo has to offer; including hiking, archery, arts and crafts, sports, singing, forts, organized games, swimming (allowing that the camper is 8 and up at the start of program) and much more.

Program

A typical day begins with all Campers meeting at their Color Groups.  At 9:05 am all groups will head to the Stage Area for Songs, Skits & Games.

All Campers will be called up by their counselor into small groups of children of the same age, with whom they will spend the entire session. Camp CaHiTo is a “group-centered” camp – meaning that our campers have the same counselor and peer group for the duration the camp session. Group-centered camping gives children the best opportunity to experience the powerful feeling of belonging, to make and keep new friends, and to connect with their counselors.

Our Specialty Programs includes a minimum of 1.5 – 2 hours a day of Specialty specific programming.
